In the early 70’s the builders in the Del Mar area like to maximize the ocean views. In doing so it was common to put the kitchen and primary living area on the second floor and bedrooms on the first floor. As the community grew and got more crowded the ocean views all but disappeared making this type of floor plan difficult. The Anello’s decided they didn’t like carrying the groceries upstairs anymore which made this project a whole house remodel.

Along with rearranging the floor plan we added about 1500 square feet. The project was a difficult one because it involved extending the entire rear elevation both upstairs and down approximately 12 feet. The new room gave them a formal dining area with arched ceilings a new master suite complete with a large bath and dressing area.
